Navigational Safety & BTM Audit
(Compliant with TMSA 3 Requirements) In-depth audits, ideally conducted while underway, assess watch-keeping practices, ECDIS, GMDSS, publications, logbook entries, Master's standing orders, navigational maintenance records, navigational critical equipment and alarm systems and crew compliance with the Bridge Procedure Guide and SMS. Findings are compiled into detailed reports with compliance checklists. Alternatively, the audit can also be performed while the vessel is alongside. SIRE 2.0 compliant vetting using CVIQ protocols. Inspections focus on identifying and rectifying deficiencies and ensuring crew preparedness. Training and follow-up support are provided. Challenges to keeping up with new SIRE 2.0 include the management of the Compiled Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (CVIQ), the follow-up of observations from previous inspections, the study of the human factor and processes.
